Behind the Lyrics

Every lyric here was written by me.

Long before Terra Kintsugi had a name, writing was a way for me to make sense of the things happening inside my own mind. I wrote through the darker moments, the battles with myself, the mistakes, the pain, the healing and the determination to keep moving forward.

Putting those feelings into words became a way of taking some of their power back.

These songs were never written from a place of perfection. They were written from experience, reflection and survival. Some came from darkness. Some from anger. Others from gratitude, strength and the realisation that healing doesn't mean erasing what happened.

For me, the words came first.

Now they have a voice.
